The Wedding Day
Ceremony & Reception
The wedding ceremony will be filmed with two cameras, one stationary and one free roaming to catch close ups of special moments during your ceremony. I prefer to attend a portion of the rehearsal to see the general order of the wedding, and where important people will be positioned. I will arrive one hour prior to the ceremony for set up, and film until the bride and groom leave the reception.
The reception will include one roaming camera. The standard editing will include events such as the wedding party entrance, the speeches, cake cutting, first dance and other key events. Some other options that I can do if the couple requests it are, filming during cocktail hour allowing guests to leave a special message, filming all tables, filming guests dancing and candid moments.
Wedding Extras
You are responsible for suppling the photos and music you'd like to use for both the highlight reel and photo montage. You will get all your photos back after they have been scanned into the computer.
Highlight Reel
A highlight reel can be made from the different events that take place throughout the day. It could be set totally to music, or have some spoken parts also. For example you might want to have the "I do" in the video with the music lowered into the background. Or you might just want the music through the whole thing.
The highlight reel maybe made up of requested events from the bride and groom, or you can leave it up to me to pick the special times that should be included.
Photo Montage
A photo montage is a series of photographs set to music. The number of photographs depends on the length of the song or songs. A typical song usually allows for approximately 40 to 50 photographs. Photo montages are a great way to display and reproduce your photographs.
Photo montages can include photos of you and your fiancé growing up, the rehearsal, the wedding day, the honeymoon, or any combination thereof.
Online Video
One new feature that I offer is to host your video online. This gives anybody you want the ability to view your wedding day right from their computer using a high-speed internet connection. The video can also be downloaded to their computer or an iPod. The quality is good, but not equal to the final DVD and it does not include any menus or chapter points. This feature is a free service I offer with any wedding I tape.
Go to the "Wedding Videos" section to see a list of weddings already using this feature.
Final Product
Wedding DVD
The Master DVD is broken up into different chapters. How they are broken up is different for each couple. Some want them every 10 or 15 minutes apart, and others want them by events, for example, "Enter the bride", "The vows", "Our first dance". Doing them that way, though, could mean chapters of drastically varying lengths. Custom labels and menus are created for the DVD and case.
